Lyn, you're enticing us to visit Egypt 😁 That geographical divide reminds me of Turkey. East Turkey can be very conservative, whereas Istanbul and the west is modern and liberal. Then again, I suppose the US is much the same in its coastal vs interior divisions.

Man what I would give for some pirzola!  (That's Turkish lamb chops.) Egypt must have some great local foods too.
