The Soros Centres for Contemporary Art were initially funded exclusively with bags of cash, withdrawn from banks in Austria, before being dispersed throughout the more than 20 Soros Centres scattered in the ashes of the Satellite States of the recently fallen USSR.

Soros Art seeded the soil for rampant neoliberalism in Eastern Europe and the subsequent mass sell-off of public infrastructure for pennies-on-the-dollar.
