A number of good answers here already so I won't repeat things.
I never spent a ton of time on Big Tech socials specifically promoting my artwork, but experienced enough of it to affirm what others have more thoughtfully pointed out in the past as a foundational issues with content creation and monetization, specifically how content creators are often exploited by the platforms.
Also, between algos and influencer culture the incentives around content creation get weird.
It is very refreshing that V4V is integrated into the fabric of Nostr. It is also fun to be in the early days. Hash tags and communities for art, design, illustration, video, and other creative content are all still in their infancy. This makes being *discovered* a bit easier in some ways and zaps make sharing work more rewarding.
I'm regularly surprised and humbled by the generosity of this community.
It is pretty wild getting zapped in bitcoin for something I did professionally and was initialy paid in fiat to create.

Not sure if this suggestion would make Nostr *better* but it would be neat to see a client or two that are designed to be more portfolio oriented and creative-centric. like Dribbble or Behance or Vimeo.
