Oddbean new post about login | logout I love linux, been using it for several yrs now. Even back then, Windows was getting intolerable. Wont ever go back. I'm not super techy either, just watched lots of vids and started trying stuff.
I have so much stuff that I'm trying to learn it has become ridiculous at this point. I'm going to need to knock it way back to 3 or 4 things at a time lol
Yeah it can all get overwhelming. One thing at a time. Right now i'm reading up on Seedsigner, gonna order one. Oh, i have settled on Linux Mint, its pretty easy to use and there's lots of support if you have questions. I'm just a basic user, so dont need anything fancy. What i love most about linux is that i can have a "new" laptop buy buying a used Lenovo Thinkpad for $200-300, then wipe Windows off and install linux. No more expensive laptops.

Not one specific source, but there's tons of vids if you search how to install linux. But like i said, i had no clue and was able to figure it out. Its not that hard. If you lived nearby, i could help you with it.
I have a laundry list of things that need to take precedent over Linux but it's not getting bumped from list. Someone on here through up a link to dedicated and purpose built linux laptops. They were pricey but from that article I read looks like it'll last a while from the software used
it's not bad, low commitment way to try it is to install it on an old crappy laptop
Can't the old one I have doesn't have a space bar lol. It's a Mac so it's going to cost $1.9trillion to fix

I think I may have one laying around somewhere from an old job. My kids may have gotten a hold of that so that may be lost to the ravages of time as well lol. I'm sure I can pick one up on Amazon. I'm still sitting with a Start9 setup collecting dust I need to get going, a Bitaxe I need to figure out, and a new hardware wallet on the way I need to learn. I'm trying to learn more about multisig, Zeus now that Mutiny is stopping, and my hydro system needs to get ramped up again. Also, I have some cuttings I need to get going from some beauty berries, elderberries, and mulberry trees. That's just off the top of my head lol
