She was as brown as a Samoan person, she had black eyes, lustrous black hair.  My son has her hair it’s as dark as it could be. My grandfathers parents always believed she was hiding Pacific Island Heritage despite her strong Scottish accent.  I never noticed my granny’s skin colouring until a period when I hadn’t seen her for a while.
