Nvidia's stock market value surpasses $3 trillion

Nvidia's stock price has more than doubled this year and it's now the third most valuable company in the S&P 500. The company is also about to undergo a stock split and has seen soaring demand for its semiconductors. Nvidia's total market value is $3.011 trillion as of Wednesday. The company's 10-for-1 stock split goes into effect on June 7, giving each investor nine additional shares for every share they already own. Nvidia's revenue for the most recent fiscal quarter was $26 billion, more than triple the previous year. The company's estimated net margin is 53.4%. Nvidia's stock closed at $1,224.40 on Wednesday.
