I was curious because nostr is my first real foray into social media. The experience has been very good. However, recently I joined Twitter and it is like speaking into the void. Not near as good as nostr has been. Your perspective is appreciated!

It’s like comparing apples and oranges. This would be similar to early Twitter. I like them both currently for different reasons.

It’s still difficult to understand the translation but I actually didn’t participate in any twitter files and to my knowledge my name didn’t come up in any twitter files. I encouraged a Twitter files CSE but that can’t happen for various reasons. Primarily safety issues for all parties involved. We all did a spaces together about CSE last year in December and I believe that covered the topic adequately. They needed time to make changes. Changes occurred and there is still room for improvement.

How many active users do we actually have? Less than 50k?
A few thousand probably 10k on a good day. I could be wrong.

My guess would be around 20k. Has someone done a graph of the history of occurrance of pubkeys on events over time? If so, pls link, I know I could build a query engine to grab it from a relay but it seems like something someone already surely did.
