There was a lot of cringe to go around... but... there wasn't really a lie. He did contact the feds, and he did leave a line of communication open for the feds to contact "him" and as to hopefully try to snag him a pentester with inside information. 

My sekret lubber who looks like they have ties to the cia (now - all things considered - unless they're sitting on nostr) clearly didn't want me to say anything about how long the feds may have been in lockbits servers. 

My idea was like why? This will serve a purpose here in a minute. 
One way or another something will be learned.
