Sounds to me like it was a quick implementation to make sure it was as NSFW-free as possible (which in my mind would not be censorship if that’s how they want their app to work) but I’m probably too forgiving and naively assuming resources were the issue and not ill intent.

I will look into it so I can learn more though.
