I think abortion is deeply unethical, and should be considered an extreme action that is not undertaken lightly.

The fact that it's considered by many to be merely 'family planning', is a grotesque whitewashing of reality, but is also not justification to inject the government into the issue with edicts about what an individual can and can't do.

We need stronger community values to do the heavy lifting. Families should be policing this sort of thing with mores, not abdicating their role to courts and lawmakers.
