A $1 billion proposal to revamp Houston's Astrodome has been unveiled by the private nonprofit Astrodome Conservancy. The plan, dubbed Vision: Astrodome, aims to turn the historic stadium into a mixed-use destination with 450,000 square feet of revenue-generating space, four new buildings, and a sweeping boulevard inspired by New York City's Highline. However, the proposal has met resistance from the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, which has expressed concerns about operational requirements.
