 It really bothers me out when people write apps for only LND as if its the only lightning implementation out there. 

its not, get over yourselves. 

Right now LND doesn't even support  BOLT12. 

This is a Daily Reminder that there are other implementations : CLN, Eclair, LDK, Phoenixd

 lnbits is a nice way to support a bunch of backends, or you can use it to emulate lndconnect
