 Touch is an important human need that often gets neglected. 

Touch releases oxytocin that reduces stress and makes us feel good. Not having enough touch can make a person stressed, anxious, or depressed. 

We receive a lot of touch when we are babies, but as soon as we reach adulthood, we barely receive any. 

More often, people are not lonely, but all they need is just touch from someone else. 

Touch does not need to be involved with sexual activity; it can be in a non-sexual way, for example, from hugging, cuddling with a friend, receiving a massage, or dancing.
