In the long run, an app like WebCore/AppCore could play a significant role. 

The ability to manage all apps, PWAs, and web apps in one place, with proper categorization, privacy-based recommendations, and the option to set any app or web page as the default for direct messaging, posting, or relay settings, could make a big difference.
