I'm just glad that we can finally talk about Fold without the 'real bitcoiners' making fun of us! Been using fold for two years now, but still have my costco citi card. I get whatever % back from them in cash at the end of the year, and pay the citi bill each month (in full) via the fold card, and get another .5% on that. I do all my amazon purchases via gift card now as well, which those you get 2.25% on from Fold. Other bills get paid via fold as well at .5% . Not as lucrative as it was 2 years ago, but it's still free money. Actually, way better than money.
I’ve literally never understood the hate for Fold, tbh. Especially from people that I’m 99% certain have a normal ass bank account and debit and credit card. How can one not simply see it as a huge step in the right direction? 🤷🏻♂️
Too much work in NYS. Having to buy gift cards, pay for membership, pay to put money on the card unless you completely endorse and full engage in their business. I don’t even break even regarding what I pay 💰 then add the time required to use their services if not completely immersed in their system. Even then I’d make minimal Sats, on months I went on vacation or did something in addition to normal monthly spending. Better off using a service that I can actually buy Sats (in NYS) with all the fees save all the time in the long run probably stack more sats and not be totally roped in? Maybe it’s better in states you can buy Sats? Gift Cards as a savings mechanism isn’t a way to save me money 💰 it’s another tax on my time and long term savings. I’m out. There was a time with FOLD where you could actually earn additional Sats for being in their system, that time has been slow deteriorating into just barely braking even if jumping through all sorts of hoops.
