With Alby starting to offer paid services, the threshold for newcomers to Nostr to receive zaps has increased. Bitcoin-related infrastructure projects are difficult to make money. If Alby can continue to operate through paid services, it will be a very good thing for Alby as a company. A startup can only survive if it makes money.
I am curious how #[0] has been able to survive for so long as a free service. Although it has rarely been active on Nostr recently. Unfortunately, WOS does not support NWC.
