Stephen Schwartz: "OTD 55 years ago at Mururoa Atoll in the South Pacific, France conducted Procyon, its second thermonuclear weapon test. The device was attached to a tethered balloon ~2,300 feet above the lagoon and the yield was 1.28 Megatons. This test produced significant radioactive fallout."
