Annual repeat that OMEMO can easily fix Nostr DM forward privacy. The current setup doesn't end well. https://conversations.im/images/omemo_logo.png https://conversations.im/omemo/
@hodlbod thoughts?
I know basically nothing about xmpp but I'll look unto it. nostr:nprofile1qywhwumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytndw46xjmnewaskcmr9wshxxmmd9uq3xamnwvaz7tm0venxx6rpd9hzuur4vghsz9thwden5te0wfjkccte9ejxzmt4wvhxjme0qqsw3znfr6vdnxrujezjrhlkqqjlvpcqx79ys7gcph9mkjjsy7zsgygwfyrav by current situation do you mean nip 04 or nip 44/17? 17 doesn't leak metadata but it also doesn't use ratchets.

The current setup doesn't end well. # OMEMO Multi-End Message and Object Encryption OMEMO is an XMPP Extension Protocol (XEP) for secure multi-client end-to-end encryption. It is an open standard based on a Double Ratchet and PEP which can be freely used and implemented by anyone. The protocol has been audited by a third party. https://conversations.im/images/omemo_logo.png https://conversations.im/omemo/
Would this need changes to the nostr relays or would you just need to have clients that supports the protocol? Nostr is just a messaging delivery mechanism after all.
