This little guy was wandering around across the street from the house.

Mom saw a creature moving across the street when she looked out the living room window and shouted to me upstairs to see if I could tell what it was.

I walked down the hill to the street, and he started hiding from me underneath a horse trailer in front of the neighbor's storage barn. I went back up to the house and went inside.

That's when Mom started getting excited. He came out to start looking for me and wandered up to the street looking around.

I came back out and sat down on the edge of the front patio. Before you know it he came walking up until he got to me and started giving me the love and the licks.

Unfortunately he had no collar.

After about ten minutes mom and I decided to go around the neighborhood looking for his owner. Asked the neighbors that were outside their homes if they recognized him, and unfortunately no one did.

Mom said, "Why do all the strays come to us?" She was getting worried since neither of us had a clue what we would do with him if we didn't find an owner.

Lucky for us two of the next few neighbors we asked suggested the farm on the outer rim of the neighborhood.

We pulled up the long gravel driveway and there was a similar sized pup of a different breed walking around. We tried not to get our hopes up, but when we asked the girl who lived there she said, "Yup, that's one of ours."

I've never been much of dog person, but this little guy might have changed how I feel.
