Sometimes it feels like there are two hobby communities: one that gets everything early (and free) and everyone else, who get things after everyone's moved on to be excited about something else (and has to pay for it).

I shouldn't let it bother me, but it does; timing of access more than the freebies.  GW's really dialed in a hobby churn and wow does the early access stuff amp up the FOMO.
