What strikes me most regarding the similarities of LoTR and #Bitcoin is both are quests of relinquishment.

Whereas The Holy Grail is a quest to obtain something, LoTR and Bitcoin are about relinquishing something: the Ring of Power and the fiat money printer, respectively.
