If #Germany had hodled its #Bitcoin stash and not sold it in an emergency, they would have earned another ~ $500M. Cool Website to track their losses by the way: https://www.iftheyhadheldbitcoin.com/ https://image.nostr.build/c1beb3fc2246edc85040de54ae29b1f24dbb58f48fdc0efa87693e4730c4bc7c.jpg
Governments even suck at selling bitcoin. Amazing.
Can’t even HODL.
Of course. When you can print the money and control everyone’s life through CBDCs there’s no incentive to hold Bitcoin. They’ll keep on telling themselves that it was the “correct” thing to do — something along the lines of “we don’t speculate”. And then they’ll turn the printers to max.
Precisely because you can print money, it makes so little sense, doesn't it? But yes, they never admit it to themselves.
In the closet of every government employee hides the ghost of Keynes whispering clandestine tales of “economic theories”.
The fairy tale of nominal pseudo-growth 🤭
Stupid Hands
Rekt. A fool and his money are soon parted.
"emergency"
lack of foresight has led the country into a downward spiral
Are you going to remind them forever?
That’s the plan, Bro
That’s now how markets work. Selling drives down the price. They could have held until now, then sold, and the price would still precipitously drop as they’re selling. The order book isn’t that thick across exchanges. That’s why they can’t do it all at once. They’re hoping more reasonable buy orders show up as time progresses. The more they sell, the less appetite there is to buy at a given price at a specific point in time.
Lol this is going to hurt come next year when we chilling on 100 bandz
Wasn't it a German state government that sold it? How do we know that the ECB didn't just buy it right back with new monopoly money?
