They limit to USB 2.0 speeds on most models for one.  Also it's worth remembering they're doing this because they were forced to.  Actually, I think that's the biggest reason they're acting like it's some great thing.  Can't have the masses realize they can be forced to not force ultra-proprietary stuff on them...
