Agreed, it's Nationalism + Socialism.

I first heard about this on The Philosophy In Action podcast over a decade ago.

To be fair, Vance and Elon made a different argument on Rogan.

They suggest open borders will "end democracy as we know it" because immigrants vote blue and too many immigrants will flip red states forever like California.

I disagree with this argument, for other reasons as I am not convinced democracy is the most perfect form of government anyway. Besides, the United States is not even a democracy. Our president is chosen by hundreds of people, not hundreds of millions.
