If no third party involved.  Extremely hard if not impossible for government or other entity to attack it.
- Damus attacked by iPhone.
- samurai attacked by US
- Phoenix killing US wallets
Etc etc
If decentralized like all the Bitcoin nodes out there.  It would be like that multi headed monster.
FOSS is the way.  Not a VC looking to make money on the development.
