Make several lists and they should pop up on amethyst on  top of the feed (where you can select global, all follows etc)

 If you create a list on https://listr.lol/ you can save it and then it will show up in amethyst. I wish there was a way to create an manage lists on Amethyst though.

 This sounds like the Follow feature to me. Your inability to keep up might be a limit of your humanity and warrant reducing the amount of people you follow.
