Fellow listeners: what was your FIRST episode of The Survival Podcast?

I think mine was episode 1197 where @jackspirko talked with Damon Butz about winter camping.

Circa 2013.
Give our new Nostr Fren some answers folks. When did you first listen to TSPC and do you remember what the episode was about?

when you interviewed Curtis Stone, and when he got into how the fed was started
Dont remember what episode, but it was during the old Jetta days, right after the financial crash.
 That's early AF. 🏆

While the sound quality isn't as great, there was some great entertainment value to listening to Jack interact with the ass-clowns on the road too. 🤣

Such a simple grind side-hustle.
Built himself the tools to free his family.

Did. The. Work.

I discovered Jack after hearing an interview on Paul Wheaton's podcast. First TSPC was one with Geoff Lawton. I listened to most shows tagged permaculture and homesteading before I started listening to new shows
 I discovered permaculture through Jack.

Way cool to find someone with an opposite path!
Don't know exactly but was definitely triple digit episode numbers
 Instant follow. 🏆
don't remember the episode, but sometime around December 2022
 Hell yeah.🫡

I'm betting he helped see through the bullshit clearer.

Though if you found him, you were already looking/seeing. 🤝
Found through Lew Rockwell. Maybe this article? The timing works out.

Sometime in January 2021. After I heard his presentation at the greater reset. I was absolutely blown away from all the information/solutions he offered I became a listener right away and haven't looked back.
 He's so articulate. I intelligent.

Not the stereotype associated with the doomsday crowd.

I've always love the "if times get tough, or even if they don't" tagline ethos.
I agree, that tagline fits perfectly
I've followed Steven Harris since 2002 when I found "Sunshine to Dollars." His first appearance on TSP was my introduction to Jack. Both of you provide truth and solutions the world sorely needs but you're also both abusive to your listeners in differing degrees of intensity and frequency... Maybe we need it sometimes to straighten ourselves out or maybe you just have a bad day sometimes.

After my debut on TSP I couldn't listen to you for about a year after you called me a liar on the forum and on a show with Steven H. regarding using AC through a DC 7-flat trailer connector and implied that I am a racist (which is funny since my brother was the first black kid in our town's school system and I was one of the last of the white kids to come out of it 10 years later). I wasn't even allowed to speak for myself since you turned the comments off on my episode and muted me on the forum.

So why do I still listen after more than 10 years? Because you still have the very best information available on any platform, you still have the most entertaining content on things that I wouldn't have otherwise heard of, and you're still there putting out more great content than anyone else I can find. Even if you do have a bad day sometimes, you are generally far more fair than anyone else when it comes to the things that really matter and I appreciate that more than I can hold on to a grudge about the things that don't.
