I'd prolly generate a BTC addy offline using your preferred method, taking care to stow away the corresponding private key in safe location. Feed the addy into your choice of QR code creator, display, then sweep the private key into electrum wallet or such when time comes. 

 Has to be lightning or ecash for tips.  Can't be do onchain for these small tx. 

 I guess top pretending that sending 30 cents with 0 fee is showing your bartender appreciation then, or just drink Michelob light at home alone. 

 You gonna send $5 with a $1 fee on chain?  Send them $5 over LN with basically zero fee.
