The Starliner spacecraft has started to emit strange noises. On Saturday NASA astronaut Butch Wilmore noticed some strange noises emanating from a speaker inside the Starliner spacecraft. https://yakihonne.s3.ap-east-1.amazonaws.com/ad6a909b8dfd6e278f94881d83dbd5ad5f9260c7502175059b29042e589fb93c/files/1718261817867-YAKIHONNES3.jpg "I've got a question about Starliner," Wilmore radioed down to Mission Control, at Johnson Space Center in Houston. "There's a strange noise coming through the speaker ... I don't know what's making it."
Upon receiving the report, Mission Control attempted to listen to the audio from the spacecraft. It was later determined that the noises were likely caused by small deformations in the spacecraft due to pressure differences between its inner and outer walls. NASA officials indicated that these sonar-like sounds are probably benign, although they are noteworthy given the previous challenges faced by the Starliner program, including issues with helium leaks and thruster failures
