Threads users such intense algorithms that often we see random conversations where the people talking have no connection ti each other. Here’s a great example of that happening. The original posts is a person excited about a person from San Francisco visiting New Zealand for the first time. They ask what they should see on their trip. 

The first reply is someone from New Zealand recalling their trip the other direction and suggesting things to see in San Francisco. Unlikely to be helpful. 

The second reply is a bitter New Zealander complaining that kiwi’s have moved to live and work in Australia for better weather and higher salaries. 

This is algorithm created engagement which leads to toxic conversations.
