In SimCity, players take the role of a city mayor with the task of creating, managing, and developing a virtual city. 

It sold over 300,000 units for personal computers and nearly 2 million units for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). 

SimCity received numerous awards from news publishers and associations
