I read this book on holiday recently that I bought in the airport. Jesus fucking christ. One bit really struck me. One nuclear powered, nuclear armed submarine (And there are many) contain TWICE as much firepower as ALL of the bombs that were dropped during WWII, that includes BOTH nukes dropped on Japan. Read that all again and just let it sink in😳😂. 

 There is a VERY early warning system that detects anything launched, like, within seconds. It then has to be verified via a tracking station in Alaska. The president, as commander in chief then has SIX MINITES to decide what he's going to do....!! You should really read the book, it's an eye opener/closer🫣😂.
