For every new show I try out, I weigh it against "would I rather give this or the next book on my stack 12 hours of my attention?"

Let's be honest, a lot of shows out there are Cs or C pluses at best with respect to writing and acting. I no longer give those my time because it robs me from doing all these other things I love.
