At this point, after this fiasco, NBC has three options:

1) Fire Welker for gross negligence and incompetence. She’s supposed to be a seasoned veteran, able to handle the dangerous con-man she’s allegedly covered for years. Sadly, she’s shown herself to be an utter incompetent. 
2) Make a fact-check show where they bring in actually experts who break down and fact check every question and answer. And then fire Welker. 
3) Shut down their news division and admit defeat.
