If someone publishes illegal content on your website comment box you're not immediately liable. Sure, in theory you are and in practice it may get to a point in which something will happen, but this is not unique to Nostr, the entire internet is like this and it has always worked pretty well.

For some reason people keep bringing these points as if they posed some fatal blow to our supposedly naïve ideals or something like that, but that is just FUD.
