Every election I can remember, the more charismatic person won except the last one: Reagan over Carter/Mondale, Bush over Dukakis, Clinton over Bush/Dole, Bush over Gore/Kerry, Obama over McCain/Romney, Trump over Hillary. Only exception was Biden over Trump, and there were serious irregularities around it.

Forget politics, and just ask yourself if there's ever been a bigger gap in charisma/personability than in this election. Then consider the economy which just massively revised down its jobs report for the last year, with inflation crushing the ever-shrinking middle class.

The fundamentals are terrible for the democrats. The indicators (polls/betting markets) say otherwise, but in an era of so much manipulation and fraud, fundamentals > indicators IMO.
 How do you quantify charisma?
You only need to quantify things that are close calls. These are not.
Thinking of the low charisma Bush v Gore election.
ha -- one of the lowest
Probably lowest charisma score since Ford v Carter.
This is a good question. A survey on people liking/not liking them maybe?
 +5 charisma
 +2 Strength
-5 Agility
Wait, I wanna start my character over.
The problem is that those in charge have broken so many laws and done so many bad things they are incentivized to break even more to maintain power so they not only don't lose power, but also don't spend the rest of their lives in jail. I expect massive fraud and/or an emergency that either prevents the election or forces it to 100% mail-in ballots where things are easier to manipulate.
I reserve the right to be wrong, but that is my theory.
I can definitely see it, but the bolder the move, the more dire the consequences if it fails. And there will be strong incentives for people (when they see the worm turn) to jump off the sinking ship first. Plus, they are evil and craven, so they can’t trust each other.
A turning from evil and corruption would be wonderful and I pray for it daily, but I can't say I have high expectations. All of humanity seems determined to destroy itself
The victory of reality over delusion is inevitable
I don’t mean a real turning from evil, but a self-preservation instinct among the evil to turn on their co-malfeasants while there’s still something to be gained from it. Think that’s more likely.
Maby America should start thinking. And get presidents that are capable. Not charismatic.
