I'm freeballing it. Tried backing up to an external drive.... didn't work. I didn't even get to the point where it started, much less finished. 

And I don't see a redemption number for the customer support. I'll need to bite the 100$ bullet to get this thing running smooth and appropriately. It'll be money well spent.
