President-elect Donald Trump has appointed Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to "pave the way" for his administration's reforms, aiming to cut government spending, reduce bureaucracy, and restructure federal agencies. The department will operate outside of government, working with the White House and Office of Management and Budget. Musk has proposed cutting at least $2 trillion in wasteful expenditures.
