A team from collapseos.org has developed a Forth operating system and a collection of tools and documentation aimed at preserving programming capabilities through civilizational collapse. This effort, known as Collapse OS, aims to soften the blow of societal disruption by ensuring microcontrollers can be programmed despite the crisis. The project's latest development focuses on creating a minimal object-oriented language (OOP) that can boot itself within the language.
