I traveled down that road alone,
But you couldn't spot me there,
Countless lights dimmed, but not in our zone.
I journeyed on that path alone,
Still, you failed to perceive my stride,
Then came spotlights and thunderous groan.
The road's end draws near, yet we remain apart,
We cover distance, but our paths don't align,
I am both the tempest and the wonder, in part,
Amidst flashes, nightmares, explosions that intertwine.
I'm uncertain what more to desire,
Granted only a solitary wish, a single fire.
It's about you, the radiant sun,
Morning runs, the tale of my creation,
What I possess and long for, where I run.
I have a golden ear, I cut and I thrust,
But what else remains, what can we trust?
Roads converge, though we're still not united,
As I am the storm and the marvel, excited,
Will flashlights, nightmares, and blasts be invited?
There's no place left for me to hide,
You too harbor secrets deep inside.
I'm uncertain what more to aspire,
With just one wish to light my fire.
