Prediction: Walmart is going to stop the receipt check at the door after purchasing and add a locking capability on the carriage. This carriage will have a number on it that you will have to enter into the register (something like a four digit number or a barcode). This will let the cart exit the store. If the cart tries to leave the register area without a code entered, it will lock up inside the store. The new anti theft protection system.  

 You will still be able to stuff your pockets with AAA batteries 

 Yeah I woke up with the thought randomly, so if I don't get it out of my head, I will keep thinking about it. It was the middle of the night and I wanted to go back to sleep. Lol
