The beauty of #nostr is they can build that stuff and no-one can stop them, but no-one will be forced to use it either. 

Not sure that’s a thankless task but rather just a misallocation of resources. There is so much new design space and instead of trying to expand into it, there is focus on constraining it. 

And for what? Better retention of snowflake personalities on an open protocol doesn’t seem like a winning move.
