Really weird! I use 4 clients and one is missing people I followed, another showing that I follow them, some comments can't be seen on one but can be seen on another 🤷♂️ Guess I’m going to reduce the client usage and start focusing on one or two
Same here
And I noticed it’s started happening when outbox model kicked in
I do not like the outbox model…
I mean it’s good but it’s not there yet
It works but I miss so much stuff and get faster results when I just use 20 relays all the time
20 relays is too much lol
Not at all that shit works perfectly
If we want to onboard the majority of 🌎 then we need to ditch that approach to connect to 20 relays
The majority of the world isn’t going to be using nostr any time soon… Even when it is I’m still gonna use a fuck ton of relays
I meant the long term 😉
😢📠
Same. All totally different and all sane relays. Who knows
Damn I love nostr typos. I’d like to reiterate. I DO NOT USE INSANE RELAYS!
Typos for the win! I just shoot whatever I typed without re reading and checking it 😂
Call the nostr project manager in charge of interoperability and let him know what's happening. Yo @elsat 😅
Whenever I complain or say something into the devs way it’s being used against me. I stopped doing this.
Oh damn, womp womp.
wym?
My criticism is being qualified as an attack or not rational. Any way
Lots of pride to go around, which can be a good an bad thing I suppose. I think many professional developers, those with experience in product, or industry tend to be a bit more open to criticism but I can't speak for everyone. I'm sure I have my pain points too. I broke my signer a few weeks ago when I saw you were very active on feedback, and enthusiasm, I wanted to jump in but yeah, had to fix my shit. No one should stop you from sharing fair critiques, however there will always be tension between build that build things and those that simply use them. I wish it wasn't this way, but I think that's where most of us started. I have an idea, most think it's dumb, I'll prove them wrong. Either 1 of 2 things happen, if you work hard enough (and have an objectively good idea), you prove them wrong, or you learn they were right, lick your wounds and get back at it!
Nostr feels like amateur as of right now. Maybe that’s why my criticism was taken like this but yeah I agree on the rest with you. For now I stopped but I will be watching from the side once the nerve hits the floor.
I mean yeah, I agree. It is actually amateur development. It's mostly people learning to code, or learning in a new language or tooling etc. Very few professional development teams/companies at the moment. Code review, clear vision/focus and so on. It's hard when we still don't really even know what nostr is or what we want it to be overall. I can say I'm super thankful to be a part of @GitCitadel. Reviewing code, sharing ideas, and creating focus. A focus on stable and professional development.
🫡 Yall altready have one root cause outlined in outbox model. Damus does not have this today, whereas Coracle does, and other apps do. Keep in mind: -there is not one single spec or implementation of outbox - these differ -primal relay aggregator model means that you will see different set of notes compared to apps with the manual relay config like damus -app-relay interaction is a field itself; for instance damus has known took for improvement here. Sometimes apps and relays dont have the best connection, and this is not necessarily apparent from the UI. This means that even if you have a relay on your list, there may be connection issues
I’ve been exploring them. I was recommended primal but it doesn’t show everything and seems to stall out a lot.
I use primal for video uploads
Which four apps?
On iOS: Nostur, primal(for uploads) GrapheneOS: amethyst and nostrudel
