"If a kid wants to be a pony, should schools encourage it? Would we start feeding them hay?"
This quote is not mine and 4 years ago would have been considered hyperbolic. Today, that is exactly how absurd the response to a child's identity in question has become.
I can't even imagine how bizarre the world will be when today's kids are in charge of things.
I'll hopefully be dead by then 😁👍
I feel like we've seen a slight correction in this regard. It's like a cruise ship though, and it takes quite awhile to completely reverse course. Anecdotal, but I've seen liberal friends of mine that supported this sort of thing at first starting to be vocal that it went way too far.
Umm let the kids eat hay you bigot 😂
Ah, you've discovered therianthropy? It's a rising trend in my kids school. It's a tricky one because I think it's very healthy for kids to play make believe, even some adults like to LARP and we all have different methods of play or escapism. But I find it quite insidious when it becomes about identity.
What is fuelling the modern identity crises of teens and children? Perhaps a symptom of spiritual sickness 🤷🏻♂️
Sentient creatures want to be respected for what they are. Everything is connected. On Earth that should be obvious.
Humans live and die. It’s basic science 🧪
