Missouri initially banned the REAL ID. It was great.

Then, the threats came. But the legislature laughed at them.

A few years ago, they finally caved but give an option at the DMV.

My position was always, dare them to tell an entire state they cannot fly. Force them to take an action they know will erupt badly. 

But, alas, term limits moved along all the folks who remembered why we banned it in the first place.
