have tor installed n running + grab relay list using nak cli
pip install onionprobe & refer to their knowledge base manual site.
onionprobe -c nostr-relays-check.yaml (edit and insert onion addresses which u wanna check )

so far http https is easy not seen ws websocket - but based http response it can sure alive also
add only relays which are active - nostr watch dev not sure aware of this some will find it - since it cannot do this func now. this can integrated grafana+prometheous monitoring also as posted before
