 I always have this belief that if you’re going to contradict someone and fight them, fight them. It’s fine to list off all the fallacies and whatever you can if you want to take a victory lap while you’re slapping someone around, but the usage of fallacies doesn’t end the argument because it doesn’t address the argument.

This long list of phrasal templates and buzzwords people keep using just act as a list of magical incantations that are supposed to win you the argument or whatever, and nobody actually explains how they function. They’re like kids with the Exodia cards in Yu-Gi-Oh decks. They think just by having the cards, the magical words, in their decks that the game is assured.

You still have to play the cards, you still have to explain your case.
