It’s because elections (/party politics) are a joke. Their only goal is to get more people who would vote for them to actually vote, particularly in swing states.

Doing interviews with the other side means showing proof of work to defend your purported stances. Those stances are formulated within a partisan echo chamber and fueled by algorithms on centralized platforms.
