This data mining culture is piling up the future dystopian options mentioned in the OP. DNA screening was a terrible idea for data collection. Sold as "so we can treat you before the genetic illness baked into your future self takes you away." Very noble intention, but it becomes sinister when insurance companies get a hold of the same info. Not to mention living day to day knowing your future health.
As @Odell made me realise, privacy is not about secrets, it's about you deciding what info you share, with whom, when it suits you..
