Part of what I’m searching for they might already have in their fields. I would like to stay on a farm in the Cotswolds one day to watch the sun rise for a few mornings. I think that’s the difference from the people who live in rural areas and want to move to London for ‘regular’ work and the people who work in rural areas in nature and are content and peaceful. They immerse themselves with the nature around them and find meaning and peace in it.
I think everybody’s just searching for peace in religion, travel, dating, etc.
Sooo you lose a few fingers operating heavy machinery on the farm, sooo the weathers set you back. You’ve still got 6 more fingers and just look at that sunrise. I’m just talking nonsense - don’t mind me, just thinking out loud. Sleepy wonderings.
I’m not gonna be a farmer cos I have dreams I want to pursue plus I’d make a terrible farmer. But I could understand why some people who are born in the farming life wouldn’t feel the need to leave the area often.
If I was to have kids with a farmer and they grew up on a farm, running in the fields with me and helping their father, maybe they would grow up more content than the kids in London. A lot less culture though. But I could take them traveling, and they could search for something other than peace, cos they would already have a heart full of it.
My logic rarely makes sense, don’t mind me. Juuuust thinking out loud.
Goodnight 🥱
